I think the only realistic TL-191 would show a rump CSA right after some states seceded or a massive Socialist revolution took place.
That, and once Napoleon III realises what a goon he was supporting the Rebs (assuming he did), he could decide against intervening in Mexico so as to get on Americas good side again.
And if he doesn't do that, he could decide to get involved in the Austro-Prussian War on the side of AH. Or maybe that's crazy?

Alrighty, so awhile back (a week ago?) I did a map showing the Vilayets of the Ottoman Empire in 1900 in a TL project I'm doing, now I'd initially intended for it to be two side-by-side maps, but got to busy with other stuff. Now however I've finished the other part.

Britain and Russia gobbled up the Ottoman Empire during TTL's Balkan Wars (everybody got a slice of the pie), leaving a Turkish rump state at the mercy of Russia, which has a protectorate in northern Mesopotamia/Kurdistan.
Uber-CSA is nearly ASB, though I deliberately didn't give them Cuba (they fought Spain and lost when the rebels briefly sided with Spain). Instead, they gobble up the Dominican Republic, kicking out most of the native blacks (many flee to Haiti, which soon closes the border; a civil war erupts between Haitians and Dominicans)

I know people make ludicrously bad maps sometimes, but that doesn't mean you should be rude and unhelpful. You're a sensible and logical human being; present constructive criticism in a sensible and logical manner.
May I ask what historical events caused this scenario? It doesn't look plausible to me, especially considering how all the borders are identical to modern borders, and the small number of neutral and independent states.

Just because you learnt to tone back on your scorn. I do not understand what the guy is trying to do with that map, it looks like huge, ugly space-filling empires which are entirely ASB to the point where they go all the way around infinity and come out logical. His description didn't help either.
Anyone who's spent even an hour on this thread knows how everyone on here feels about stupid, illogical maps. Why should I then take the time to write up a coherent criticism of the noobs map when it would take up time I don't want to spend on one bad map, and I can express my thoughts towards it with cursing?
That aside, I do apologise for being unnecessarily harsh.
If you don't want to take the time to write constructive criticism, then don't say anything and let someone who does speak for you.

Why should I let some randomer speak on my behalf? They aren't representative of my views on the map, I summed my opinion up quite nicely myself I think, people really don't say "the proverbial" that much anymore.
Honestly what I said is the exact same as what everyone else has said, and that is "What am I looking at?"
Krall made it wordier but it's the same basic question. I just added "fuck" to mine because I enjoy swearing, I find it helps me express myself in fewer words then being polite does.

Look its a terrible map, but this is the Map thread, should he be chastised for posting a map in the thread where maps go? Last time I checked this isn't the "Quality Map Thread" its the plain old Map thread.
