Separate state. What about Bihar? Is it in Bengal as well or another state?
It's within India. Kinda like how the free cities within the German Empire were republics within a monarchy.from what Sailor Haumea said, this version of bengal is a republic so a british-type ensign may not be appropriate. OTL, the only republic in the commonwealth I can think of using a british ensign is Fiji and they were under military rule for a while.
Funny anecdote: The plane I was in landed in Fiji *right* in the middle of the 2000 coup d'état. Oh what fun it was to be escorted off the plane by soldiers with attack dogs and told to sit quietly in a creepily empty airport.
I prefer the one with the wedge. Why the extra stripes ?

Nazi Germany used an eagle (or was it a falcon?) in lots of its symbols. A fascist North America could use a bald eagle in the canton clutching spears in one claw and a thorny vine in the other? What would the flag of a fascist North America look like?
