Axis Powers

Germany and Italy, together with Norway and Denmark (conquered by Germany in 1939), make up a straight line from northern to southern Europe and were therefore called the “Axis powers” in World War II. The term also refers to the Central Powers of World War I, due to some overlap and historical connection. The term was extended to Japan, as it fought on the same side. The other side coined themselves the “Allies”.

Axis (Powers) can also refer to:

  • The Axis from Hitler's Mediterranean Strategy that were defeated after the nuking of Oldenburg and Graz in August 1945 / Niigata and Nagasaki in September 1945 respectively.
  • (space reserved for Axis's from other TLs)
