Congressional Assembly of the Sandbox Republic of AH.com
The directly-elected 25 member legislature of the Sandbox Republic, with the power to debate and pass legislative acts, led by a Chancellor nominated by the President and approved by a vote of Congress. The first Congress was elected via a nomination/endorsement process in July 2010.

On August 22, 2010, the Constitution of the Sandbox Republic being ratified by referendum, the Congressional Assembly was replaced with the High Congress of State.
First Consul Marix, by executive order, suspended the High Congress of State on March 23, 2011, because it wasn't getting anything done to forestall a potential military coup. mats took this opportunity to launch a military coup. In April, the capitol was occupied by forces proclaiming Beedok as king and/or dictator. The capitol lay vacant throughout the summer; The Wandering Poet attempted to reinstate the Congress in late August, but was unsuccessful in retaking control of Sandboxia. In fact, newly-self-proclaimed Emperor Marix at this time finally dissolved the High Congress of State.
