Monaco

Monaco is the second smallest European country, the tiniest monarchy in the world in terms of area and one of the smallest countries in today's world. Founded in the 13th century by the Italian House of Grimaldi that still rules it today, it was once slightly more expansive than it is today, with France slightly carving away some of its more northern territories throughout the centuries. The French are the main allies and benefactors of the tiny monarchy, as well as its only neighbours. The current laws regarding French and Monacan relations and territorial ownership date back to the beginning of the 20th century. A big portion of the Monacan population are rich people who immigrated there due to it being a haven for millionaires, with many casinos and an annual Formula 1 race that still bring the country fame and fortune even today. As far as the name of the country's domestic nationality (demonym) goes, the consensus is that it's both “Monacan” and “Monégasque” (the latter named after the dialect used by some of the ancestral locals and the House of Grimaldi). The current ruler is prince Albert II. The constitution was adopted in 1911 and revised in 2002. As far as military matters are concerned, the defence is up to France and Monaco itself has no standing army (though Petike apparently wants to amend that fact).
