Gaelic Glossary - Some common terms and phrases in Scottish and Irish Gaelic.

Clare County Directory, 1862 - A list of office holders for County Clare, Ireland, in 1862, including magistrates, county officers, stamp distributers, etc., etc., as well as those involved in the Poor Law Unions of Ballyvaghan, Corofin, Ennis, Ennistymon, Killadysert, Kilrush, Scariff and Tulla.

Cork County Directory, 1862 - A short statistical account of County Cork, giving extent of land, population, etc., followed by an extensive list of office holders in the county for the year 1862. Names of Members of Parliament, Magistrates, County Officers, Cess Collectors, Coastguard and Constabulary Officers, are given, as well as lists of office-bearers in the Poor Law Unions of Bandon, Bantry, Castletown Berehaven, Clonakilty, Cork, Dunmanway, Fermoy, Kanturk, Kinsale, Macroom, Mallow, Midleton, Millstreet, Mitchelstown, Skibbereen, Skull, and Youghal.

National Library of Ireland - Griffith's Valuation (Land Valuation Records) - The Tithe Applotment Books and Griffith's Valuation are nineteenth-century property valuation records which are much used by family history researchers providing, if only in part, a substitute for the loss of almost all nineteenth-century census records for Ireland.

National Library of Ireland - Parish Registers - The main source for genealogical research in the Library is Roman Catholic Parish Registers. The Library holds microfilm copies of the records of most Roman Catholic parishes in Ireland for the years up to 1880 and in some cases to 1900.

Dublin Street Record - A list of names, addresses and occupations of the residents of Dublin in 1862, taken from Thom's Irish Almanac and Official Directory for that year.

Ireland-Australia transportation database - The National Archives of Ireland holds a wide range of records relating to the transportation of convicts from Ireland to Australia covering the period 1788 to 1868. In some cases these include records of members of convicts' families transported as free settlers.
