The very first piece of legislation discussed by the 2007 Parliament of AH.com was none other than the wages of its own members. While numbers were tossed around, considering that the Members of Parliament are, at present, unpaid and the national budget is, at the moment, approximately $0.00, this was an ultimately futile discussion.
Nekromans (YSP) proposed a 400% pay raise for all Members of Parliament, deducted from the Health, Education, and Defense budgets on August 19, 2007. This proposal was immediately opposed by Gladi (E), Steffen (FFF), Superdude (PPP), and Kabraloth (FFF). Deputy Prime Minister kidblast (YSP) counter proposed that the salaries of all Members of Parliament would be $3.56, which the exceptions of Prime Minister – who would be awarded a salary of $10 quadrillion – and the Deputy Prime Minister, who would be awarded a salary of $9,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999.99.
ARTICLE I
Proposal A: A 400% pay raise for all Members of Parliament, deducted from the Health, Education, and Defense budgets.
Proposal B: The salaries of all Members of Parliament shall be $3.56, which the exceptions of Prime Minister – who shall be awarded a salary of $10 quadrillion – and the Deputy Prime Minister, who shall be awarded a salary of $9,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999.99.
This bill was never voted on or passed, and thus the Members of Parliament continue to be paid a salary of $0.00.
