Surviving Rizal

Rebirth of Selurong
On 1896, Rizal would be able to land in Cuba and later be able to complete his novel in 1897 and publish it which has info on the History of Luzon whose hero is called as Kamandagan, a descendant of Lakandula and he would name the Novel as Kamandagan and it is originally written in tagalog which would be later published later on his return, it would be known that the real name of Luzon in Malay is Selurong[1], this would just be the beginning of the rebirth of the old country of Selurong, which is one third of the country of the Philippines and the area the Spanish know as Nueva Castilla.

The Luna brothers would later support Jose Rizal’s cause for the restitution of the identity of Selurong.

Rizal would also inform the Spanish that the Americans have a design on their colonies of the Philippines and Cuba and the Americans have sent spies to further their own goal and the Spanish would do everything to get rid of them and Rizal would also disavow his ties with the Katipunan.

1. The united Philippine Nationalism gets shattered in its infancy.

The Luna brothers would support Jose Rizal’s cause to make the country of Selurong independent and the native or Philippine name of Selurong is Katagalugan as the moros called it.

Do we have a proof about that novel?

Note: regarding Selurong
According to a historian that I talk to according to his archeological proofs that he has gathered it is Fray Albuquerque who coined the tribal term Tagalog, but according to my research, there is a word also spelled as Tagalog which corresponds to the Malay term Selurong which is talked about by both Albert Étienne Jean Baptiste Terrien de Lacouperie, Mohammed Kudarat and Pedro Ladia.

Prior to the Spanish conquest the people of South of Luzon were considered and call themselves Visayans according to the Historian that I talked to.
So basically what will happen here is that the resulting country will be called Katagalugan natively and its exonym is Selurong but I will use the term Selurong rather than Tagalog here to avoid controversy.

Disavowal of Rizal
When Rizal disavowed his ties to the Katipunan on 1897 after he published his novel, he would reveal that there are spies that the Americans sent to the country of the Philippines and Cuba to further Americans goal to gain Cuba and the Philippines, Rizal would point his common law wife, Josephine Bracken as an American Spy and the people with ties with the Americans including Marcelo Azcarriaga would be seen with suspicion and his ex-partner Josephine Bracken would die in prison due to her connections with the Americans that her ex partner pointed out.

Rizal would return in the start of 1898 and publish his book in Tagalog exactly as he had written it originally.

The hatred of the Nobility of Luzon/Selurong to the Spanish as well as the Katipunan movement would grow but the sentiment for the Independence for Luzon/Selurong as well as the restitution of the identity of the Island would start to grow when the novel of Rizal was published in the Island.

The Purchase and the defeat of the Americans from the Spanish-American war
The Spanish were in shambles when the Americans started to declare war with the Americans, the British would see the Americans as a threat to their interests not just to the Spanish and the Spanish would bow to the inevitable on December 10, 1898, the Spanish would sell the Island of Luzon or Nueva Castilla to the British along with its associated islands island groups of Batan, Babuyan, Calamian and the other associated islands with it but the island of Masbate would not be included as it is a Visayan Island.

The Purchase would prevent the Spread of the revolution to the other island groups of the Philippines and the other is that the British and the Spanish would both defeat the Americans forcing the Americans to retreat from Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippines and the war would end in the humiliating treaty of Paris on April 11, 1899 where the Americans would be forced to retreat from Hawaii and Hawaii is later made a British protectorate.

Both the British and the Spanish would suppress the Philippine independence movement but the British would support the new identity movement of Luzon which would cause the Katipuneros who preferred an independent Luzon/Selurong to join the British and surrender and Rizal would support the British as well which would cause Luzon/Selurong have ties with the British to the present day[1].

1. Anything after this is extra, it can be considered as finished and I will explore the actual independence of the country and the fate of the country itself and the Philippines as well as the world surrounding it but I would not commit to it.
