I had an idea, *France had plans for some puppet states similar to the Reichskommisariats (I had the idea of calling them General Commissariats, or Commissariats Généraux in French).
I had the same idea long ago, just didn't get around to mapping it. Commissariats Généraux is a good name, thanks for this idea!I had an idea, *France had plans for some puppet states similar to the Reichskommisariats (I had the idea of calling them General Commissariats, or Commissariats Généraux in French).
You're welcomeI had the same idea long ago, just didn't get around to mapping it. Commissariats Généraux is a good name, thanks for this idea!
Also, could you threadmark my posts?
I was thinking of having it be called 1994 earlier today, and yes, it is TTLs 1984@lionjedi1215 , that's a cool base for TTLs 1984 (or is this not what you intended?). What about having it called 1994 and written by Augustin Souchy Bauer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustin_Souchy), known under his pseudonym August Heldt?
I am still not quite sure how to proceed with Britain, to be honest. But Orwell would have been able to come back to Britain by 1949 in any case - and he would have loved the British form of government! So I think a German author is somewhat more likely ITTL.I was thinking that maybe it could still be Orwell, but now he's in exile somewhere in Russia or Germany after the *Fascists come to power in Britain, then the Americans invade Britain and install the current regime and he's forced to stay in exile until Britain becomes a Democratic Syndicalist state or he dies

OK. The reason I gave them Russia was that most of the remnants of the Federal State that weren't absorbed into Europa joined the Pan-Asian Cooperative Pact before the Technotarians came to power. Also, wouldn't it be the European Commonwealth with Landebahn Eins and Landebahn Zwei? And I think Arkhangelsk would be part of the European/Eurasian Commowealth - or in the "perpetual war zone". City 1923 is more likely to be Samarqand or Astana.
Honestly. I think the Pan-Asian Union shouldn't have a part of (OTL) Russia at all, but they could well control Central Asia.
I do agree with numbering cities, that's a good idea. I just thought the PAU Technate having Russia was unlikely...The reason I did the names like that, is because the Technotarians wanted to obliterate the cultures of old and bring about a logical and pure state for preservation of "society"
A good idea. This would probably result in Russia being divided - and I picture Arkhangelsk as joining Europa. City 1923 could of course be Omsk or Irkutsk.OK. I like it.What do you think of this map for the world of 1994 by August Held a.k.a. Augustin Souchy?

I prefer them being in Pan-AsiaWould you like it more if Iran/Persia and Central Asia were also part of the zone of eternal conflict?
A very interesting idea. I might well change my De ecclesia post to accomodate that, ending with Mussolini being murdered in exile...Random Thought: Because Mussolini remains a socialist, he could be remembered as sort of a Trotsky figure.
