Return of Horrible Educational Maps

That globe was first used in internet political comedy series, as a element of Jaroslaw Kaczynski office. When series became quite popular, well... it spread.
Take, a look, youtube have english subtitles for this.
 
The Copenhagen peninsula is perhaps my favorite feature.

Also, and perhaps more relevant, Puerto Rico appears to not be depicted as part of the US, while other dependent territories in the Caribbean are given the color of their metropoles.
 
Did no one else notice that they highlighted Laos rather then Vietnam?
South Vietnam seems to be highlighted; a nation that hasn't existed since 1975.

Also, Tunisia isn't so bad (by local standards). It's one of the better-off nations in North Africa.

I think it's so people don't think Michigan's Upper Peninsula is a separate state. And it's just you; Texas looks like that with that projection.
Actually, that's technically Michigan's shape. Most maps just show the lakes.

Except Wisconsin lost the northern half of Door County and Michigan only controls waters to the middle of Lake Michigan. Add in the Apostle Islands, Minnesota's portion of Lake Superior plus Canada's. Must be the Tim Allen map of Michigan
