Bell with a major panhandle?
The Nazi plans for the occupation of Great Britain and Ireland, with the former nations divided up into six military-economic commands, and with Nazi command posts marked in red.
You have a source for this?
Was this plan temporary as a mandate of sorts? I have a hard time believing that the Nazis wanted to annex Britain as a colony.
To clarify, from what I can find, this was the planned administration of the UK following everyone's favorite ASB plot point, Operation Sealion.
The goal of this was to establish German hegemony over the islands, which involved the institution of a nationalities policy. This basically involved dividing up the constituent countries.
Would Britain be divided into puppets or colonies? Military command gives off a bit of a colonial vibe.
Ah, Herr Doktor Professor Six and his minions.
It appears to be from "The Military Administration of England" with regional headquarters in London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool, Glasgow and Dublin. Though Dr. Six and his staff would be based in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool and either Edinburgh or Glasgow which suggests different plans.
There were numerous variations on the occupation plans, unification of Ireland versus retention of NI, autonomous Western England, independent Scotland, partial occupation with an internal border et cetera.
Don’t look at me and tell me that Reichskommissariate London wouldn’t be a badass setting for a book
While not an actual claim, I thought this image I found in old cartoons would make an interesting map, even though it would be more likely the Germans went for Fiume. A world with a German plurality Trieste would have been interesting, though.
Indeed. Or an RPG, with Standartenführer Six rooting out 'undesirables' while also acquiring artworks for Goering, and perhaps occult items for the Ahnenerbe.
I think you just pitched me the idea for my next DND session
More World war Cthulhu than D&D I'd say
I mean honestly the system works for damned near anything with enough homebrew
D20 Modern could also work
That Hitler in a Swastika housecoat reminds me of a very weird manga from the 70s...
for context, this was apparently a Western illustration of a tanuki before Westerners really understood what a tanuki was, and the woman's kimono is decorated with manji
Of course, we're much more educated now and know that a tanuki actually looks like this.
that is still essentially true, and that's not a Western interpretation of a tanuki in any case
Well, not exactly...
"Whole Azerbaijan" as claimed by Azeri nationalists. It would probably be a pretty unpleasant place to be Armenian.
Separate names with a comma.
