Presidents come early (or late)

I have been moderately researching the idea of a Reagan win in 1976 and this got me thinking about what would be some other possible times we could have had our timelines presidents become president earlier or later then IOT. For me what first springs to mind is of course the aforementioned Reagan runs in 1976 and 1968 but their was also Nixon’s famous run in 1960 against JFK.

George HW Bush wins in 1980.

Bill Clinton runs and wins in 1988.

Hillary Clinton gets the nomination in 2008; Obama runs and wins in 2012, 16 or 20.

Biden runs and wins in 1988.

Johnson wins in 1960.

Dubya loses to Richards in 1994, while Jeb! beats Lawton Chiles that year. From there, Jeb wins re election in 1998 and Richards declines a 3rd term as Governor, with Dubya, after losing narrowly in 94 getting elected Texas Governor in 1998. Jeb, with re election under his belt, runs for President in 2000 and gets nominated, only to very narrowly lose the general election to Al Gore. Gore then goes on to beat McCain or Giuliani in 2004, only to have a 2nd term similar to Dubya's of OTL. Dubya with three terms as Texas Governor under his belt, runs in 2008 soundly defeating Vice President Lieberman.

Probably one of the earliest possible presidencies is Nixon, and no I'm not talking defeating Kennedy. Eisenhower had a notable heart attack in late 1955. It would be interesting how to see how Nixon would handle the job if thrust into it when he was about as old as T.R

I've always wanted to toy around with the idea of an earlier LBJ Presidency. He wins the 1941 special election to the United States Senate and gets chosen by FDR as his VP candidate in '44 in Truman (FDR had a genuinely wam relationship with LBJ and saw himself as a bit of a mentor to the younger man - a relationship that Johnson was more than happy to cultivate. In OTL Roosevelt was detached from the discussion over the VP nomination at the Democratic convention; but here, with the chance to helping Johnson and strengthening the mentor-mentee bond, he gives the nod).

FDR dies in schedule and now we have President Lyndon Baines Johnson overseeing the end of the Second World War, demobilization, the Korean conflict and a number of other fascinating but touchy issues. LBJ is also only 38 years old, making him - by far - the youngest President in United States history. How successful is her in these circumstances? Well - we shall see. I'd expect real efforts to try to expand upon the New Deal; but there is Korea looming, and I think his relationship with MacArthur would be very different than Truman's was in OTL.
