Members of the Australian Resistance somewhere in the Bush, 1962. Japanese control outside of the major cities was largely nominal, and fighting in the hinterlands raged for years, draining thousands of Japanese lives and countless yen.

American marines in combat on the island of Guadalcanal. This was a major setback for the Japanese, and a battle in which then-Captain John Smith distinguished himself.

A Gocheng tank, repurposed captured Type 97 light tanks from the Imperial Japanese Army. The Chinese Communist forces have a few tanks in their fleets which they use to engage Japanese forces in the rural regions of China.
