Simon Hayha the famous Finnish Sniper been still around in TL-191 since Finland had allied with Germany against Russia like Finns vs the Russians in 1940 but this time Finland was a bit stronger thanks to the Germans giving the weapons and Tanks.

General Boris Lavochkin, recently promoted to the rank of Marshal of the United States, 1985
Boris_old_pic.png

Lavochkin would be the last Marshal of the United States appointed before the collapse of the USA. Initially appointed by President Walter Mondale as a gesture towards the hardline establishment, Lavochkin would become a vocal opponent of Mondale's reformist and pro-peace policies in the later years of the Shadow War, culminating in his 1989 invasion of Georgia in pursuit of self-proclaimed Freedom Party leader William Luther Pierce, which led to the Dixie Wars and the beginning of the collapse of the United States. Lavochkin would lead pro-American forces in a brutal campaign in the south over the course of the 1990s, being tried in absentia for crimes against humanity by Germany and the Republic of Dixie after his final retreat from the south in 1999.

TTL US has a General Staff not a Marshal.

And I am unsure if the US would collapse like the Soviet Union did, especially since the two are completely different nations, bot politically and historically.

Gorgo destroying Big Ben with it's Atomic Breath in 1961's Gorgo Strikes Again

A co-production between two French and British movie studios struggling to reestablish themselves post Second Great War, Gorgo is considered to be the father of the modern Bestias (from the latin for beast) movie genre. While certainly far from the first giant monster in a movie, Gorgo captured the public's imagination like few of its predecessors could and helped establish itself in their minds as the first and therefore King of monsters. In the original 1954 release, Gorgo is said to be an ancient beast and possible inspiration of the Gorgons from legend awoken by the dumping of radioactive materials following the atomic bombing of Britain and France during the SGW, while later movies would capitalize on rising fears about radiation and change Gorgo origins to that of being a mutant caused by radiation. Since its initial release, Gorgo has gone on to star in numerous movies with just as many re-imaginings and reinterpretations, including numerous crossovers with other Bestias franchises

A painting of the Japanese fast battleship Kongou with the accompanying the aircraft carriers Hiryu and Akagi and the battleships Hiei and Kii to Midway Atoll, circa December 1941 prior to the Battle there. The Japanese forces during the battle would also be comprised of the aircraft carriers Kaga and Soryu, the battlecruisers Takao and Atago, 5 heavy cruisers, 7 light cruisers, 19 destroyers, 4 submarines, and 9 amphibious assault ships.

TTL US has a General Staff not a Marshal.
the rank of Marshal is introduced after GWII, and the General Staff still exists. Marshal is just a five-star rank, which its implied that neither the US or CS have during GWII. Its not a position of commanding the entire army, there were always multiple at a time.

Mothra might be named something like Lepidina, a reference to the Lepidoptera designation for butterflies, who are perceived as symbols of beauty in the West.

Portrait_of_Ambrose_Bierce.jpg

Photograph of Ambrose Bierce (1842-1915 or 1916?)

A writer, journalist, poet, and a veteran of the War of Secession, Bierce was born on June 24, 1842 at Horse Cave Creek in Meigs County, Ohio. He enlisted in the Union Army's 9th Indiana Infantry and participated in the operations in Western Virginia (1861), was present at the Battle of Philippi and received newspaper attention for his daring rescue, under fire, of a gravely wounded comrade at the Battle of Rich Mountain. Bierce also fought at the Battle of Shiloh (April 1862), a terrifying experience that became a source for several short stories and the memoir "What I Saw of Shiloh".

After the war, he was posted in the Union Frontier where he participated in some battles during the Union Indian Wars. When he was discharged during the late 1860's, he lived San Francisco and worked as a journalist in several newspapers and periodicals. During the 1870's, he briefly lived in England during the 1870's and later returned to San Francisco in 1881 to became an editor for The Wasp magazine. He was a witness during the War of 1881 that was fought between the Union and the Confederacy and its allies. It was during the war that he met the owner of the San Francisco Morning Call, Samuel Clemens, and enjoyed a brief friendship with him. Bierce would later remark in his own writings that Clemens would have made a fine novelist, instead of a newspaper editor.

Influenced by his friend Clemens's ideas for stories and his own experiences, Bierce's literary career began to grow. He was mostly known for his dark and depressing fiction, but would occasionally write humorous prose. Some of his written work was popular with the Remembrance movement, although Bierce never officially supported it.

By the turn of the 20th Century, Bierce was living in Washington, D.C.. When the First Great War began in 1914, Bierce traveled to Ohio where he reported on it. Once the Red Rebellion had begun in 1915, Bierce informed his close friends that he would be going down to Kentucky and find a bunch of Red Rebels to interview.

He was never seen again.

While there were attempts at investigating his disappearance once the war ended and Kentucky became a Union state, few were successful in finding anyone who knew him or saw him. Some Blacks who lived in Kentucky have said to have seen a "Yankee-speaking" White man during the FGW, but were not sure if it was Bierce.

His disappearance became a larger mystery when after the Second Great War, it was discovered that the remaining Afro-Confederates who survived the Population Reduction did not include those who participated in the Red Rebellion.

Notes:
1) Him not suffering a traumatic brain injury would probably make him less cynical than OTL.
2) OTL bio: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambrose_Bierce
3) As a head-canon, it's plausible he may have met Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) in TL-191.
4) It's up for debate how his political views would have been in TL-191, but I decided to make him somewhat sympathetic to the Union someday winning over the Confederacy.

A soldier from the German 5th Army guarding POW's of the French Army of the Rhine, following the latter's surrender after the Battle of Strasbourg; circa March, 1943. With the fall of Strasbourg, the German Army effectively ensured the liberation of Alsace-Lorraine. Operations on this front would essentially cease as German forces were reallocated to begin the liberation of the Low Countries from Anglo-French forces.

A column of Russian prisoners of war in the aftermath of the Battle of Kiev in the second half of 1943. The battle, part of a broader counter-offensive on the Eastern Front, permanently broke the back of the Imperial Russian Army, with roughly 700,000 casualties inflicted at the hands of German and Austro-Hungarian forces. It remains the largest encirclement in military history.

Territories of the Republic of Ireland
Ireland currently administers two territories. Both of them were ceded from the U.K. after the Second Great War.

I can see how the Isle of Man works but a channel isle? I would have thought that they would be the eqiv of OTL Okinawa

Ireland was treated harshly by the British and they would take an opportunity to devastate both British national pride and fishing industry.
