Screencaps from the 1982 fantasy film the Dark Crystal. Copies of the actual film were held in storage in several locations in Australian and New Zealand when Doomsday occurred, largely unused and in excellent condition. In 2012, the movie was re-released across the entire ANZC to celebrate it's 30th Anniversary. It was a huge hit, not only with former American refugees and their families, but with a new generation of young Commonwealth citizens who fell in love with what many consider to be Jim Henson's masterpiece.
In recent years, several prosperous North American nations such as Vermont, the Republic of Superior, Virginia, the Toledo Confederation, Niagara Falls, Susquehanna, Texas, Victoria, Florida, and the entire North American Union have began showing copies of the film in their respective cinemas or public entertainment centres. The movie has been universally praised in all of these states, and it currently continues to air in other American or Canadian survivor states, gaining a greater cult following with each year.
Rumors of an Japanese anime being developed for 2022 release have been cicurated recently, which would serve as a prequal series to the original film.
