Philippines kicking the Spanish in the 16th century

I was thinking what would be the consequences of the natives led Bruneian dynasty seizing the Spanish knowledge in military and armada and kicking the Spanish from the Philippines, this plot is the Tondo Conspiracy.
IOTL This was something that is not much discussed about but in this case the natives could steal the tech and military from the Spanish and this was also aided by the Japanese as well, I think the Western Powers would find this a very shameful defeat on their part but would this discourage the Western Powers from establishing colonies in S.E. Asia?

The spice, tea, silver, and porcelain must flow, bro. If not Legazpi it would be another Spaniard. If not a Spaniard, it'd be a Dutchman.

They can make trade concessions with the Dutch since the Dutch are protestants and the rebels are Christians as well, Portugal did that with Congo ITTL.

But that is better than anything that we got ITTL and at least they are independent at least in name.
Better to have been a Japan or even Siam, rather than to have been a Vietnam or, well, OTL Philippines.
Eh. Trading posts can still develop into big and exploitative enterprises. Look at Malaysia and Indonesia, which is more apt to what we would become. Heck, you can look at India and how it ended up. :p

If we want that the Mamluks should stay existing and defeat the Portuguese.
