The Collapse of the Mexican dictator and his government lead to an ending of Hawaii and the Central American Republic involvement in the insurgency in Southern Mexico. The area split between a Mayan dominated region and a Spanish speaking region. Both areas sought to develop a Democrat government based upon a true Republic. In this they looked to Hawaii and the Central American Republic. Mexico fell into a series of Civil wars and it was only Intervention by Spain and Neuva Granada in the early 1890s that bought an end to the conflict and establishment of law and order.

Brazil was busy struggling to build its economy as a result of The Fall Still Hawaii and Brazil cooperated with one another to improve the economic situation of each nation. Both nations struggled to do what they could to help the world recover. One of the benefits of this was the pooling of resources and knowledge to try to deal with a massive disaster that had been caused by The Fall. Portugal was a project that the three countries moved to make things better for the people who lived there. Saint Catherines Hospital was one of the projects that the people of Hawaii worked on. Money was raised by contributions from throughout the Kingdom. Hawaii's King gave money to the project but it also came from School Children. Hawaiian Army Engineers helped to direct the project.
Brazil and Neuva Granada with assistance from Hawaii reached a settlement on a lot of issues which had created problems between the two nations. Both countries were eager to reach an agreement as it would avoid a possible future clash. The nations also held talks regarding Argentina, which was regarded by both as a lose cannon.
Mexico was under joint Occupation by troops from Spain and Neuva Granada. Plans were to stabilize the country and hold new elections. A Spanish Viceroy was appointed but Spain and its ally intented for a short period in which troops would remain in the country.

In Neuva Granada the Royal Hawaiian Oil company was drilling another oil field. It had built a refinery in the country and the economy was booming. Trade was on the upswing and relations between Hawaii and it were golden. Even relations between it and Brazil were never better. Differences in foreign policy were resolved without threats. In fact both nations were concern with Argentina.
Hawaiian companies were eagerly promoting trade in Latin America. Only Argentina seem to resist it Hawaii's support for Britain and the Falklands was one major stumbling block but Hawaiian Intelligence believed that it was just an excuse. The government of Argentina was trying to devert attention from the poor political decisions made by it.
1897 Falkland Islands: Hawaiian troops had been garrisoning the Islands since the late 1870s as Britain had been too strained to send toops to protect it. Now the British Government was prepared to once again take over the responsibility for the Islands security. The British Government had deployed 2 companies of Royal Marines to the Islands as part of the beginning build up. As soon as the Royal Marine artillery Battery arrrived with the rest of the Royal Marine Battalion the Hawaiian would turn over total responsibilty to Britain and withdraw its forces from the island.
The Governments of Spain and Neuva Granada had removed their troops from Mexico after a five year occupation. The country had lost a lot of people over the past 20 years to wars with its northern Neighbor and to illnesses. The country however had seen stability and had elected it Congress. Currently Spain's former Viceroy had transition to a new job of Governor General. He was the Representative of the Spanish Crown and acted in a similar role to that of the British Crowns officials in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Relations with the US, Hawaii and the Central American Republic were much improved.
The Central American Republic's economy was humming. The Literacy rate had shown improvement for each of the past 20 years. Some 10,000 students had graduated from Hawaii's two colleges and had returned home to the Central Americn Republic as Doctors, Nurses, teacher, engineers.
