"There are reports of fighting in the Tasman Sea between Aotearoa and New East Anglia..." Daniel Brennan turned up the ABC radio report. If there was a skirmish between the 2 nations, it was likely that Australia would get involved in some way. It depended on what had caused the skirmish though...
"...The New East Anglian Government is remaining silent, but there are reports coming out of Aotearoa that the fighting may be over fishing grounds in the eastern Tasman..."
That was reasonable, who had rights to those fishing grounds was a very thorny diplomatic issue...
