Mexico Does Not Lose Territory

Various Mexican provinces (Texas; for example) seceded due to the centralist regime inposed by Santa Anna.

How could be avoided the creation of the centralist regime? Would the Mexican-American War still happen? If it still happened, how could Mexico win the war and not lose it’s territories to the US?

Thanks for the feedback.

Plus Santa Anna was willing to sell california...to prussia..that is something a divergence, they beat, arrest/executed the slaveholders but sold cali to the prussians

Ah yes, all those southern colonists. In the Yucatan, Zacatecas, the Rio Grande, Durango, Queretaro, and San Luis Potosi. Those darn southerners just had half of modern Mexico infiltrated.

Might Mexico invite Catholic refugees from the Irish Famine to Texas, having won and San Jacinto (If possible with a better Mexican ruler than Santa Anna
