B_Munro: Excellent map, and I would say that aesthetically one of your best. A minor nitpick is the missing number 17.
Another one would be the American analogue that keeps cropping up. Not only is it similar geographically, though that doesn't make too much sense, but also "United Electorates of" is also a rather blatant allusion to our US. It is interesting that many of your maps that feature a late POD actually have a North America decidedly dissimilar to OTL, yet earlier PODs feature an American tha is more similar. We can talk about geographical inevitability, but I would argue that a East Coast-West Coast entity is more unlikely than some other variants. The Mexicans, for example, already have a civilised base from which any colonial (or native) empire can stretch into the Pacific (California, etc.), and with a much shorter route to the Pacific to boot. The east coasters have to march through the Rockies. It happened in OTL, of course, but so did the Oder-Niesse. Even the East Coast isn't destined to be united - the South and the north were almost torn apart OTL, and before that the colonial powers had a lot of competition here. And democracy certainly was not destined to arrive in colonial societies...
I hope that doesn't seem angry or hostile, it's just a nitpick. Your maps are very well done and I always enjoy them.
Tormsen: Excellent as well! Some very interesting things going on. The radiation effect is well done, and the "Slav Zone" is an interesting concept.
