Hopefully getting more comments than my last map...

ASB killed everybody, that does not like Science Fiction. (But prevented all disasters/downbreaks of society, that this would normally cause)

Now, a year later the Trekkie Empire (offically called "The Federation of Planets") is in firm controll of most of the Americas.
Aided by local fifth columns it is now invading Asia and Europe. The Trekkies claim to "come in peace" and "uphold the Prime Directive" but they ruthlessly "assimilate" the conquered territories.

The European Powers fight back, but their ideological differences prevent an effective coordination of their counterattack.

In America the other Fandoms have retreated to secret bases and formed the so-called "Rebel Alliance".

The BSG Fans escaped in an Rag-Tag fleet, escorted by the BS Lorene Green (ex- USS Ronald Reagan), when the Trekkies nuked Vancouver. After an Odyssey trough the Pacific they have recently arrived in Africa. They are confident, that an higher power is on their side. (Although they are not sure what it exactly is. Most say that ther is only on true god, others claim there are several and a few belive, that Dirk Benedict is god and Richard Hatch is his prophet)

The Trekkie Empire itself has recently seen a split into two factions. The main branch, based in Rodenberry City (former Washington) has developed a coplex ideology, claiming that canon is perfect, and can not contradict itself. They woreship Gene Rodenberry as "Eternal Leader" that can be chaneled by mediums ("writers") and still leads his followers.
The more conservative Shanterists claim, that canon was compromised by later writers and only TOS is undoubtly true. They have adopted many controversial practices such as deporting Voyager fans to the amazonas jungle and the public stoneing of slash writers.

NOD doesn't control Sarajevo?

The Soviet Logo (coat of arms?) obscures Africa.

It is now 1324 AUR (595 AD) and the peoples of Europa have done their best to stabilize the borders of their respective kingdoms and/or empires. Even with the Avar incursions and their invasion of Dacia in 1290 AUR (543 AD), the Bulgar Wars in 1304 AUR (557 AD), and the attacks general peace has somewhat returned to Europe, in the West anyways. The Western Roman Empire is a much changed beast from its former self. The Temple of Sol Invictus is the highest law of the land, having replaced many of the institutions that were held by the Emperors of the previous age. The current Emperors/Empresses are usually the people whom also hold the position of High Invoker (male) or Keeper of the Light (female). It is also the place where knowledge is kept, with manuscripts, scrolls, codices, and other such items of learning kept there... usually behind locked doors/reserved for the nobility. While slavery has been outlawed it has been replaced with a form of serfdom instead. The army has significantly changed its scope, from that of a professional infantry force to one based around cavalry, usually heavy cavalry and horse archers. So it has been forged into a Holy Roman Empire of sorts. :)p:D) The Western Thrungians have been slowly “unifying” over the past 100 or so years, even if it is only into tribal kingdoms instead of wandering war bands. The greatest of the tribal kingdoms are those of the Franks, the Ostir Goths, and the Dann. These are in constant competition for dominance and influence, not only over each other, but with the Romans as well. For the Romans have learned to keep the Thrungians divided over as many issues as is possible if they don’t want a MAJOR problem of their hands, and they have more than enough of those. With Vandal, Saxon and Dannic pirates plaguing trade, continued raids being made by unfriendly Thrungian tribes, disputes between the Priesthood and the Comistonine (the heavy cavalry elites and their servants) Elites causing major shifts in policy, and a recent plague in northern Italia having slashed population numbers and production capacity, the Temple has enough problems on its hands. And that doesn’t even count the greater powers to the east….

To the east the Vanarii have rebuilt the former Byzantium as their great capital. It has been renamed Vanariga, and has been turned from a bustling port town, into a titanic fortress city, complete with 5 layers of walls, naval defenses, a major fleet that has been recently renovated and retrained, and of course the dreaded Order of Issyka, the Elite Guards of the High King of the Vanarian Empire. These warriors are easily the best Heavy Cavalry in all of Europa, from their purebred Lydian Warsteeds, the equal of any war-horse of the Old Empire, to their finely crafted and heavily reinforced Lamellar Armor, made to rival that of the Sassanid Cataphracts, right down to even their war lances and great-swords which are forged in the wondrous forge-mills of Damascus, at an enormous cost nonetheless, these warriors are ready for almost anything. Beyond the walls of Vanariga, the Vanarian Empire is a very large and well defended realm. The regular army is well maintained and the populace kept content under the guidance of the Imperial Orthodox Church, one of the many braches of Christianity that formed after the numerous schisms of the 5th and 6th centuries due to many barbarian invasions, new converts and a lot of political and doctrinal disputes amongst church leaders. The Imperial Church is the largest of the Christian churches and has the most organized following. Under the guidance of the High Palancor and his clergy, the church watches for signs of both Coptic, pagan and Asaran heresy amongst the populace. While these heresies are minor concerns for the Vanarian government, it is still a concern, for an increase in the number of lost souls amongst the Imperial populace signals a time of civil war or invasion from the Empire’s many enemies. Of the old Roman and Greek legacies much has been lost, but the Imperial Church has managed to keep learning alive and has begun to spread it amongst the nobles and other upper class people. And while some of the old Roman way has survived under Imperial guidance, many Gothic traditions have also taken root amongst the populace of the Empire.

But the Empire is slowing coming under siege. If it’s not the Sassanids threatening numerous trade routes during times of conflict, the Coptics making major raids upon southern provinces, or internal politics causing disputes, it’s the simple fact that during these times trade is weaker than it has been for quite some time. Vanariga is a city built to be both a Grand Fortress and a Great Market at the same time; one protects both the city’s populace and the Empire as a whole, the other feeds it. And what good ever came from a starving sword arm?

To the south lies the realm of the Imperium Romanorum Australis, or the Coptic Empire if called by its more common name. This realm was once the former province of Aegyptus. When Valens lost the battle of Adrianople, the old Eastern Empire was thrown into complete chaos and numerous provincial governors either declared their independence or tried to consolidate and hold on for reinforcements. When these reinforcements did not come forth many of the soldiers either abandoned their posts or traveled to “safer” areas. One of these areas was the province of Aegyptus. As the Persians invaded due to the chaos of the Empire’s collapse many of the border legions were destroyed, but others managed to escape into Aegyptus and to the gathering legions there. When the Persians attempted to invade Aegyptus in (427 AD) they encountered much fiercer resistance than in the Levant. At the battles of Sidus and the Tarsian Bridge, and the siege of Gaza the garrison of Aegyptus slowed the advance of the Persians to a crawl and their army was finally broken at the Battle of the Bloody Pyramids. This battle is what modern historians believe marked the founding of the Coptic Empire. Of course the actual reorganization from province to Imperial state took many years after that, with the arrival of Celesta I, then an Imperial princess, and her son and retinue to Alexandria. It was under her rule that the province was reorganized into an Imperial state and was prepared for the eventual reconquest of the old territories from the Vanarians. However she suffered a major stroke in (442 AD) that effectively prevented her from doing so. And her son, Matinus I, was utterly ineffective as a military commander. He focuses the Empire on far more internal projects of economic and cultural growth rather than military conquest. By the time of his death in (469 AD), the Vanarians had solidified their hold on Anatolia and Achaea, making an invasion a near impossibility. So the Coptic military turned its focus upon the surrounding areas, taking major chucks out of Nubia, the Levant, and Cyrenia. This has been the general policy of most Coptic commanders, take what you can hold. The continuing political games between the Vanarians, Coptics and Persians prevent major conquests. However, the Coptics have the advantage, for all they really have to do is wait….

And El Mappo:

Eh, sorry, but Saxons + Franks = ASB.................do what you want, though :p

Who would have guessed that the shape of Congress Poland minus Chełm region, Suwałki governorate region (sans Augustów) and Polish Border Strip would resemble the chicken leg I had for dinner?

Seriously though, the below is one of the worst case scenarios in victorious CP TLs. Stripped to the bone with just enough meat left to mock CPs generosity. ;) I’ll try to expand the map to show other nations’ borders later.

You know what else reminds me of a chicken leg? Austria...............oh, let's not forget Kentucky, either, home of the world famous Colonel Sanders :D

Crap, I should have overlayed it better, but I had to shrink it for size limits.

Only Nigeria and Angola are communist, and there are rebel movements in the West.

I felt like sharing a map I made for my world-building project (link in sig), since I thought it came out rather nice:

I do apologize for the rather garish green though. For comparison, here's one with the territory colored in and the same map without the green.

To get an idea, this is the mapa mundi of the project.

My first attempt at mapmaking, so I'd appreciate any feedback. As you see, just a random irredentist wank. After all, four national languages in Switzerland seem to make for a more stable nation than two and a half ones in OTL's Belgium - so, why not trying for a four-languaged Belgium.

I'm not exactly sure how ASB the whole idea actually is, but I figured that a more violent 1830 rebellion in Prussia could do. Most of the Prussian Rhineland secedes, the Prussian military respond by invading, using loyalist northern Niederrhein as a base.
The civil war right over the border makes the freshly-formed Belgian state build up a real military much earlier. When the Dutch invade in '31, they meet fierce Belgian resistance*. After some months of fighting, the Northern Brabanters (which stayed loyal to the Dutch crown in OTL) have enough of seeing their taxes going into a war against their fellow Catholics in the south, and join the Belgian. The Dutch, which might still have won in the long term without Brabant seceding, have to retreat.
The peace treaty signed in London leads to the creation of an independent, neutral republic in Zeeland (coining the term "zealandized" for a forcibly neutral buffer country between two bigger power blocs ;) ) and of a DMZ between the Meuse and the Waal.

Meanwhile, on the German side, the Aachen region and the part speaking Limburgish dialects (basically Viersen and Krefeld) decide to join Belgium in order to escape the war, being trapped between the loyalist and the secessionist parts of the Rheinland. (For some reason, St.Vith also becomes Belgian, as it did after WWI in OTL. Not sure, why.)
After a few years of fighting, the Prussians have to admit the independence of (secretly French- and Belgian-backed) Rhineland. The new frontier follows the Ruhr (note that there are two Duisburgs :D ). Obviously, a divided Ruhrgebiet which is partially destroyed by the war means that Germany is worse off than OTL, though Prussia is still a major power.

The whole mess is a major setback for the German nationalist movement, though around 1860 (due to some butterflies) a Bavarian Bismarck emerges and unifies Southern Germany. In an analogue of OTL's 1870 war, the Southern Germans, Belgians and Italians (Italy should be more or less united by then?) go to war against France and win, imposing quite harsh peace terms - as you see in the map, the Southern Germans get Alsace-Lorraine, while the Belgians annex French Flanders, French Hainaut, some unimportant Walloon-speaking part of the Meuse valley (hey, we're being irredentist after all), and northern Pas-de-Calais.

The year is something around 1875, give or take ten years. (The unification of Prussia and Southern Germany will happen around 1890, I guess.)

*) IOTL, the whole thing worked out badly for the Belgian. They only had militias against regular Dutch troops and had to be bailed out by the French after two weeks. This led to the loss of Northern Limburg (today's Dutch Limburg province) and German Luxemburg (today's independent Luxemburg).

Forgeting Babylon 5 is indeed unforgivable; I consider killing myself in some strange Narn attonement-ritual ;)
It seems there was a hole in your mind ;)

I know, but the Imperium was much cooler than the LFT. LFT soldiers don't even wear uniforms anymore, its almost as godless-hippie-communist, as Startrek TNG (at least it still has money).
Well, yes, of course. Theyre supposed to be the good guys, after all. And given thats its somewhen in the 6th millenioum or so, thats even way too few social change to be any realistic!

Perry Rhodan is not bad and certainly better, than what the StarWars Franchise has become.
No way. Star Wars even on its worst has never reached the silliness of large periods (especially the starting time...) of Perry Rhodan.

The main problem is that its running for decades.
Well, yes. Its too blatantly 50s sci-fi and hence needs to be replaced...

I challenge that. Perry Rhodan had it's fair share of silliness (Gucky der Mausbiber ), but there was never anything in it that was as outright stupid as the battle of the Gungan Army against the Trade Federations robots.
