Unfortunately, Marvel’s attempt at creating a cinematic universe failed due to inference from Ike Perlmutter and Paramount, resulting in the end of the MCU after the release of the box office bomb that was The Avengers. Paramount would sell Marvel to Disney in 2015, with the latter creating a rebooted MCU headed by James Gunn.
