Life magazine goes AH in June 1940

They have something like fifteen pages worth of them before you reach any content.

Remember, TV was not in every home back them. People actually read to be entertained back then. Companies understood this, so that where they put their ad dollars. Have you watched TV lately. An hour show has 20 minutes of ads.
 
Heck with the new fangled toasted breakfast cereal and teeth whitener, I want to know where I can catch the Margie Hart act!

I found the ads as much an insight into that era as I did the articles.
