Learning to be Free Again: Electoral Wackiness in Post-Communist America

I really hope this doesn't die. I'd love to see more elections going through to 2020-- as well as how the Pelosi regime consolidates itself.
I have sat on an unfinished update for several months unsure how to proceed. :solution:

One day this will receive an update, sometime before the heat death of the universe.

Hello everyone!

It's been a long time, and I think most people here already can tell that another update for LTBFA probably won't be coming. It's been far too long, I've moved on, and I genuinely wasn't sure how to continue the story in a way that is both a natural conclusion while not painfully predictable (so no Pelosi invading Mexico in 2022 to protect English minorities or anything :D ). In a way, though, the current last update still feels sort of natural as an ending, and I am glad for everyone sticking with me here.

However, this is not why I'm here. Not too long ago, I have been involved in modding for the new version of the browser game The Campaign Trail, and today, the 1993 Post-Communist campaign is now on the mod loader!

Now you can replay this TL's pivotal election by playing as Cheney or Lake (with a Chomsky campaign coming soon!). The mod's questions expand on the lore of the timeline's setting, showing the TTL fates of several other known figures, dilemmas and political debates that were largely glossed over in the TL, and potential for alternate outcomes to the election, which I hope you enjoy!

really good mod!

What I liked a lot about this TL is that it wasn't a direct mirror to the events in Russia in OTL (something which I would've found rather boring to read). Instead it combined elements from the transition of various socialist countries and also gave them a unique American flavour. One could of course question the realism of the basic scenario outlined, however it obviously wasn't meant to be realistic anyway. From there on, I don't have anything to criticize storywise. There are political differences between us, but that doesn't change anything about how great the story is told. And I was glad that you depicted the transition as the kind of painfull mess it was for the countries of the FSU in OTL. Certainly one of the best TLs I've ever read. Sad that it's over, but hey, I got to play through the 1993 electoral campaign myself so I'm not complaining.

One question that I asked myself throughout the whole story though: How large is Eurasia really? What countries does it encompass?

My vague idea was the Russian Empire minus Poland and Finland, really. Definitely does not include China - China has even been mentioned as a separate great power who have had a diplomatic break with the Eurasians - or farther into Asia beyond the Central Asian region.
