The Great Schism tarred the reputation of the Catholic Church for a long time (even in the XXth Century history books in Catholic grade schools frequently did not touch on it all hoping that if a youngster heard about Schism they would confuse it with the Eastern CHurch Schism which was a topic they felt less threatening0. So one impact of No Great Schism is the Church's credibility takes less of a hit and the Reformation will have more difficulty taking root.
