Fuchsia - Collaborative worldbuilding project

Fuchsia is a world set on a tidally locked planet where humans have built-in genetic engineering capabilities and use it to develop organic technologies. It's an open collaborative project, so anyone can come to suggest and discuss ideas, and contribute content from text to graphics. Just questions are also welcome.

This project has a wiki, so for ease of maintenance not much lore besides notifications for major content additions, or the occasional odd narrative, will be posted in this thread.

An azimuthal equal-area projection centred on 0,0, or the subsolar point, is used since it conveniently indicates the relationship of regions to the sun's position, which will be the main climatic and cultural determinant. Of note is that the planet also has an axial tilt of 30 degrees, allowing the sun to drift north and south throughout the year (which is the length of a month in Earth-time).

Some geographic maps; the topography (and actually the entirety of the original map) was made by Finium as a SVG and relatively stylized, so bathymetry, low altitudes, and the outlying islands may not be quite detailed at the moment.

Major geo-cultural regions of the western supercontinent, where most existing lore has been done on. Ga- is a toponymic prefix in the Kar language (which is currently *Tibetan and corresponds to རྒྱ rgya, but there is certainly room for conlangs for interested contributors).
