My Flag for the latest challenge.

Daon-Phoblacht na hÉireann
(People's Republic of Ireland)

As Britain descended into anarchy in the early 1900s the communist Fenian Party took power in Ireland.
Their flag was based on the legendary sunburst emblem of the Fianna.
The red field represents the spilled blood of the Irish people, and their dedication to the Rule of the People (ie Communism).
The sunburst represents their warrior spirit.
The green at the heart of the sun represents the Irish lands.

Speaking of Angola, I liked the 2003 proposal, though it drops the historic colors and looks to much like North Korea's, so I changed it a bit.

Personally, I think they took the idea of "a flag should be simple enough that a child can draw it" and went too far.

With all the riots in Greece now, I had a neat Idea for a Communist Greece flag.

Red backround and star cause of communism (Duh), and Greek Collums because of the PRG's attachment to Aeicent Greece, that invented Democracy and Philoshpy.

I like it. Here's my version, inspired by yours.

In this version, the classical Greek virtues are represented in the traditional blue and the column (which is actually a Composite order, invented by the Romans, but oh well), support the Communist red and star.
I actually tried to make one a while back. Here it is.

Not having read the 'flag challenge' rules, I created more than one flag. Not wanting to waste my efforts, I'll be posting some on here ... starting with this one .....

Yesterday in Rome saw the opening of the Pacelli Monument, a 200 metre high structure commemorating the 75th anniversary of the lifting of the Vatican Blockade in 1935. Named in honour of the founder of the Vatican Socialist Republic, Eugenio Pacelli (1886-1958), the towering structure boasts a library, museum, 5 restaurants and a magnificent viewing platform.

Among the museum exhibits are Pacelli’s handwritten declaration of the Vatican SR (1929) following the Italian Civil War and the zoned occupation of Italy by Spain, France and Hungary. While the reactionary governments then in power in those nations occupied Rome, they hesitated to take military action against what had been the seat of power of the Catholic Church for generations. Pope Leo XIV, from his new residence in Madrid, urged the crushing of the communist government of Pacelli and thus in 1933 the Vatican Blockade was set up. But the Vatican population was small and it was possible to land supplies from helicopters operating from the fleets of the socialist nations of Germany, Great Britain and Sweden.

The opening ceremony was conducted by the President of the European Socialist Republics Union, Paula Goering. In her address she said that Pacelli’s vision and commitment not only saved communism in Italy but inspired a generation to throw off the shackles of capitalism throughout most of Europe.
