Fall Blau - Is a rethinking in order?

Mind you, even if Fall Blau were reasonably successful, it's not going to do the Germans much good. They've got no way to get the oil back to Germany, as I understand it.

The oil fields gained, ironically enough given they were the reason for the campaign, would not be the decisive factor. Rather, it would be the fact the Soviets would be starved out and probably would exhaust their manpower reserves over the course of 1943.
