Communist Flags

Could I use some of these for a ~secret~ project I've been working on?

Think you'd have to ask specifically haha

A post I made a while back;

I don't have a large image unfortunately, but I quite like the one I did as part of the map series here. It's meant to be a book and cogwheel for education and industry.

Now that is an interesting map series! Are the CSA still under our Sarge, Jake Featherston, by 1948? Were they ever, or did they have a saner leader? Who are the leaders of the other American states?

It was a turnaround analogue, originally started by another member as I say in the commentary but later expanded on by me. I had a vague idea to do a full story based on it at one point. Gordon McSweeney (as Turtledove seemed to imply in the books would be the outcome if the US lost the war) becomes the USA's dictator and rough analogue to Featherston (or Hitler), with Catholics being the main target of persecution. I had a vague idea that, for irony, in this scenario Featherston is listened to by Jeb Stuart III, his servant is arrested, and later Featherston's life is saved by one of the black workers attached to the artillery brigade, and Featherston becomes an advocate for black rights in the interwar period leading a (minor) party devoted to that. Again I think this fits with what Turtledove was going for, with how he emphasises early on that although Featherston was an overseer's son so is set up to be Confederate Hitler, initially he doesn't have that much resentment of the aristocracy and the black population and it's events during the war that give him a burning resentment of both. I was going to have the Confederacy led by its first ever Radical Liberal President during the war, though I hadn't planned on who it would be (maybe Huey Long?)

To be appropriately Turtledovian, IIRC I was going to have Chester Martin fighting in the Californian pro-independence militia after the state broke with the McSweeney regime during the second Great War, his experience from the first leading him to rapidly rise through the ranks, and Earl Warren was going to be Californian President. I don't think I ever developed the Federal Republic (i.e. the northern Midwest and Plains). Obviously the United Socialist Communes would have ended up being led by Flora Blackford as General Secretary, after she led the socialist resistance against the McSweeney regime after the Socialist Party was banned in the interwar years.

The People's Republic of Iran was a short-lived socialist republic in the Iranian provinces of Azerbaijan, Gilan and Mazandaran that lasted from 1923 to 1924. Also know has the Persian People's Republic.

Communist flags are cool even if communists themselves are not.
Cool France 2.png
The phrygian cap is a famous symbol from the French Revolution. I imagine French communists would be quite happy to use the symbol on a flag or emblem.

Cool Germany 4.png
The KPD symbol is ultimately just a hammer and sickle, but it is German.

Iran.png
It's a Sovietesque emblem on the country's flag. Just like most all of the USSR's puppet states.
