From a halt thought-out story where the UK joins the Central Powers and wins the Weltkreig so here's the Italian front.

There will always be people who stubbornly stay. I'd say that Tacoma wouldn't be a full-on ghost town given it's pre-eruption population.
Unless the eruption is so sudden it kills basically the entire population (which was what I believed to have occured on the box)

If it’s anything like the Mount St. Helens eruption, you’d have a few weeks of earthquakes, steam venting, cracking and slope bulging before it finally pops. If nothing else, those alone would probably have the state government on standby and some people moving out of the city under the own initiative and fear it might erupt

The 1894 American federal election held from 17 May to 12 June 1894. It was won by the Liberal Party of Joseph Cannon. The elections comprised a significant political realignment — a major Liberal landslide.

The nation was in its deepest economic depression ever following the Panic of 1893, so economic issues were at the forefront of the campaign. In Late May, during the election, a major coal strike damaged the economy of the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic. It was accompanied by violence; the miners lost and many moved toward the Liberal Party . Immediately after the coal strike concluded, union leader Eugene Debs led a nationwide railroad strike, called the Pullman Strike. It shut down the nation's transportation system west of Detroit for weeks, until the new Liberal government authorized the use of federal troops to end the strike. Debs went to prison for disobeying a court order.

The disoriented Conservative Party was crushed everywhere, losing more than a third of its seats to the Liberal Party. The Conservatives ultimately lost 125 seats, with the Liberals gaining 148 seats and forming the government.

Future prime minister Charles Curtis was elected to parliament for the first time in this election.

The 1898 American federal election was held from 17 March to 12 April 1898, following the dissolution of Parliament on 12 March. Also referred to as the Maine Election, it was held months after the sinking of HMAS Maine and during the lead up to the Spanish–American War. The press exaggerated what was happening and how the Spanish were treating the Cuban prisoners. The business community had just recovered from a deep depression and feared that a war would reverse the gains. Accordingly, most business interests lobbied vigorously against going to war. The Liberal government led by Joseph Cannon ignored the exaggerated yellow press and sought a peaceful settlement However, as political pressure mounted Cannon decided to advise Governor General Lord Minto to dissolve parliament. Cannon hoped to avoid a war by silencing war supporters in parliament and diverting the attention of the country from Cuba to the federal election. However, on 17 March the Earl of Cavendish, the Agriculture Minister, delivered a speech, thoroughly analyzing the situation and greatly strengthing the pro-war cause. Cavendish concluded that war was the only answer. Many in the business and religious communities which had until then opposed war, switched sides, leaving Cannon almost alone in his resistance to a war. On 11 April, Cannon ended his resistance and asked Lord Minto to send American troops to Cuba to end the civil war there. On 12 April, the election concluded, and it became apparent that the Liberal Party had won another majority. They commanded a majority of 88 seats in the new parliament. On 20 April, the new parliament had not yet assembled, and Cannon decided to request that Queen Victoria of America declare that a state of war exists between HM Government and Spain.

Future prime minister Charles Clark was elected to parliament for the first time in this election.

The 1902 American federal election was held from 24 July to 19 August 1902 to elect members of the House of Representatives of America. Prime Minister Joseph Cannon led the Liberal Party to a third term in government, with an increased majority and over half of the popular vote.

With a stable economy and no cornerstone issues, Sir Charles Tupper's Conservatives were unable to challenge the Liberals effectively. Both parties lost a small portion of the popular vote but gained seats due to the increased size of the House and the reapportionment that resulted from the 1900 census.

Future prime minister Nicholas Longworth was elected to parliament for the first time in this election.

The 1906 American federal election was held from 12 April to 8 May 1906 to elect members of the House of Representatives of America. Prime Minister Joseph Cannon's Liberal Party was re-elected for a fourth consecutive term in government with a majority government. The Liberals won one seat and also won a small share of the popular vote. Joseph Bailey's Conservative Party lost two seats and also lost a small share of the popular vote. Without any striking national issues, the Liberals were able to hold on to their majority. Robert La Follette's Labor Party contested a federal election for the first itme, and won ten seats.

Future prime ministers Cordell Hull and John Weeks were elected to parliament for the first time in this election.

The 1910 American federal election was held from 19 April to 12 May 1910 to elect members of the House of Representatives of America.

There were major factional splits within the Liberal Party. Prime Minister Joseph Cannon alienated many left-wing members of his party.
While moderates controlled the largest number of elected positions for Liberals, leftist politics had been what brought many voters to the polls. The clash of these units of the Liberal Party, combined with the message of unity from the Conservative, was enough to allow the Conservatives to win the election, ending 16 years in opposition.

The campaign went badly for the Liberals. The powerful manufacturing interests of Wall Street switched their allegiance and financing to the Conservatives. In North Columbia, the Conservative Party ran on the slogan "A White America", playing to the fears of North Columbians that resented the increasing presence of cheap Asian labour and the resulting depression in wages.

Shortly after the election, the parliamentary Liberal Party removed Cannon from the leadership and installed Commerce Minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier as Leader of the Liberal Party.

New River Gators

The New River Gators are a professional barrelball team based in New River City, Mayami. The team plays in the Confederal Barrelball Association as a member of the Peninsular Division of the CBA's Southern Conference. Despite being one of the league's youngest franchise's, it has become one of its most successful having won six championships since its founding in 1992. The team plays at the All Peoples Memorial Center in downtown New River City and is partly owned by the Mayami Confederacy's realm government. They are the second CBA team to be based within one of the four native confederacies of the Union of American Realms.

The team struggled to succeed in its first decade, as free agents passed up on the franchise. Everything changed following the free agency period of 2009 when superstars LeBron James and Chris Paul took advantage of the franchise's cap space to announce they'd be teaming up and playing for the young franchise. They joined All-Star forward Chris Bosh, who had played with the Gators since being drafted. The move by James and Paul were considered "league breaking" and decried as unfair, with the Big Three, as they came to be called, expected to make the sport un-competitive. They'd go on to win a championship their first season together (2009-10).

The Gators would dominate the 2010s, winning all six of their championships in the decade and becoming just the second team to four-peat in league history. They won a championship in the first four seasons they played together (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) and two more later in the decade. In 2015, Chris Bosh was sidelined with a heart condition though he remained with the teams in hopes of rejoining before the playoffs. Despite playing in the Finals and winning a ring with the team that year, it was announced that summer that Bosh's condition would not improve and continued play could put him at risk of death. Under his protest, the team announced they would pay out the entirety of his remaining contract and Bosh ultimately retired due to his heart condition. His jersey was retired by the franchise, a first for the franchise.

Despite the loss of a key part of the rotation with Bosh's retirement, the Gators made it to their seventh straight Finals Appearance in 2016, but lost in six to the York Towers. The Gators went ahead and made it to their eighth straight Finals Appearance following the 2016-17 season, a franchise and league record, ultimately winning their sixth title against the Vistula Pistons. From 2010 through 2019, the New River Gators made the playoffs each season, made eight finals appearances and won six championships, the most of any franchise. LeBron James won league MVP five times in that span.

Batman & Robin is a 1997 American superhero film based on the DC Comics characters Batman and Robin. It is the fourth and final installment of Warner Bros.'s initial Batman film series, a sequel to Batman Forever and the only film in the series made without the involvement of Tim Burton in any capacity. Directed by Joel Schumacher and written by Akiva Goldsman, it stars William Baldwin replacing Val Kilmer as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Patrick Stewart as Victor Fries / Mr. Freeze, and Chris O'Donnell reprising his role as Dick Grayson / Robin, alongside Demi Moore, Alicia Silverstone, Michael Gough, Pat Hingle, and Elle Macpherson. The film follows the titular characters as they attempt to prevent Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy from taking over the world, while at the same time struggling to keep their partnership together. It is also to date the only live-action film appearance of Batgirl, portrayed by Silverstone, who helps the titular characters fight the villains.

Fun stuff. Just a heads up though (and I might be wrong) but I’m pretty sure that’s a picture of someone other than Anderson you’ve got in the infobox.

At first glance, this Wilson is much like our own. He’s elected in 1912, segregates the Federal Government. He still proclaims American neutrality then volte-faces into WWI. We still win, and the Treaty of Versailles still gets fumbled. He has a stroke in 1919, and is President Vegetable for the remainder of his term.

But look a little closer, and what do you find? Troubling signs. Vice President Marshall is short dead in 1918 in Chicago. A harsher set of Sedition Laws are soon passed by Congress, even if Wilson is hesitant to use the War Department tribunals. Pushback from the left results in a bloodier Red Scare, including the assassination of several government officials by anarchist bombers. When Wilson suffers his stroke, Robert Lansing is next in line, and he is *quite* willing to push to become acting President. Edith loses the power struggle, and the President spends the rest of his term basically locked out of his own government. The worse Red Scare leads to greater desire for “security” and his successor, a man with no political experience promises to deliver that.

Wilson dies a few months later than IOTL, as a result of even less work in his final months in office. He does not live to see the full consequences of what he has wrought.

The 1918 American Continental Congress election was the only free election held until 1998. In January of 1918, the aptly named Winter Revolution overthrew the 130 year old American Monarchy. Left wing agitator Franklin D. Roosevelt, initially haling from a wealthy family, was exposed to the writings of socialist Mark Twain. and came to back the cause of revolution. After years of being in exile in France, he returned home after the overthrow of the ailing King Wilson. The Provisional government under members of the old monarchy included Benjamin Tillman and Grover Cleveland. Both were former Prime Ministers that established themselves as opposition to the increasingly tyrannical Emperor Cannon, managing to engineer his abdication in August of 1904.

The Provisional government formally announced a platform of ending the unpopular slave labor while compensating plantation owners and members of the nobility for the lost labor. This was met with slightly more enthusiasm among the white members of the novel Communist Party than the black members. Chief among these was A. Phillip Randolph, who split off from the Communist Party to form the All African American Communist Party. The Communists under Franklin D. Roosevelt attempted to mend some sort of compromise between the whites and the blacks, but ended up dividing the party even more. Left leaning southern whites opted to form their own opposing political organization known as the All White American Communist Front.

Meanwhile, forces on the right side of the political spectrum rallied among the conservative planter class and massed poor white vote that organized into the Southern Rights and Theodore Roosevelt's political vehicle of the Rough Riders, named after the volunteer military unit formed during the Cascadian Wars of 1902-1904. Women's suffrage took a front motion, with the demand among various left wing women's organizations including a demand for women to be conscripted, equal pay, women's health and attention to child care issues. These organizations came under the influence of deaf Hellen Keller, organizing the left leaning Socialist Suffragette Union.

Don't you mean "shot dead" and not short dead?

Teddy Roosevelt doesn't run in 1912, the Democrats don't feel pressure to nominate a more liberal candidate, and Taft picks Albert Cummins instead of Nicholas Butler.
The end result is a more successful Taft ticket, but still a handy win for the Democrats, here led by Judson Harmon.
