Hi there, AH.com! Longtime lurker here who finally decided to make his first post today. Hope I'm not doing anything wrong as far as formatting or forum etiquette is concerned, so please inform me in case I am.
Anyway, without any further ado, can you envision any reasonably plausible scenarios where Russia, following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, goes fascist? After all, people have drawn parallels and comparisons between the Russian Federation and Weimar Germany, so would it be a stretch to imagine that they might end up having the same fate?
I'm using the word "Fascism" in a broader sense here, so you can freely decide whether the exact ideology will look more like "classical" Italian Fascism, the more radical National Socialism, or the plain Ultranationalism of WWII-era Japan.
Bonus points if the Fascist takeover ultimately occurs in modern-day Putinist Russia.
