A New Beginning - Our 1992 Russian Federation

By the way chat, one topic I would like to address is China, I know a lot of people feel they are a rising power that could threaten our interests. Now I'm admittingly fairly neutral on China's expansion as I think they can't replace the US as well a world hegemon, but I feel to our choices we might see a different situation occur.

By that, I know a lot of people are not that invested in the alliance with Iran but the more we strengthen it as we have the more Iran can act independently , something China is not the biggest fan of for a variety of reasons. One Iran supplies India with a lot of natural resources, two it's antagonistic relationship with Pakistan is a concern and its actions in the Middle East risk escalation which is bad for China.

China's ideal scenario would be where the US gives concessions to it to help put pressure or at least mitigate Iran. A weak Iran but still dangerous enough to keep the US focused is good for it. Iran thanks our choices though should be stronger than the original timeline given we've made sure they gain further resources and technical infrastructure.

Thanks to this, I'm not entirely sure we can rely on China and the US butting heads while profiting off the side lines strategy when we have altered the playing field and so should monitor developments with China closely given we have given both powers share crucial interests in one nation Pakistan.

Both China and the US need Pakistan for a variety of reasons and so if anything could bring them together it would be it, which given we have have played a role in the region so best watch it closely. China might say try strengthening Pakistan's hand in the region as a result which unintended consequences down the line.

Some people have suggested recreating a USSR/India alliance but it's important to remember such a thing risks renewing a Chinese/US thaw though given we want the US to stay in Afghanistan and the Middle East to keep it occupied this risk is a necessary evil.

Nice we are the fourth place on the totem pole.
We can safely say that American unipolar moment has ended, and now Asia is the engine of global economic growth, with countries such as China, Russia, India, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia which is 21st just behind Iran, while from now on in the West only USA and Germany will count.
 
Kinda crazy that Gore is going to be VP for two presidents before he finally gets his own presidency 20 years after his original run. The American political system is wild in this timeline.

As we can see, now China is the new workshop of the world, the west is quickly deindustrializing. Expect in the next decade situation where China will be larger in manufacturing that USA and EU combined, and Russia overtaking USA, Japan and EU in few years time.

Yup, January 6th will happen also in our TL
Not sure how realistic such a thing will be since a lot of the hype for such an event was done in part by the republican rule for 4 years. Considering the Democrats will rule for what appears to be 8 or more years straight its much less likely that the far right would even form in a similar way to OTL. If anything the left seems far more likely since they would have ruled for several years with their policies and ideology dominating which would make them believe they are the ones who should hold rule over the US.

Frankly I simply do not see an January 6th event happening at in this TL, considering both how it took certain events for such a thing to even happen. That is not counting things like increasing ideological separation withing the democratic party especially as they deal with issues like migration or de-industrialization.
