If you like, you can send it to me. I'm not sure when I'll be able to review it and give feedback, but I will try to get it done if you're still interested
In a sense? I would personally see the modern day internet as a more consumerist version especially if there’s no alternative to social media like Facebook or Twitter/“X” (it’s Twitter, Elon, get used to it). A lot more targeted ads, data mining a bit more widespread, and fandoms relegated to a...
Exactly. And fora are sort of built for that sort of long-lasting development in a way that other media isn't.
But getting us back on track. Without Tumblr, it's sort of a mixed bag. Doctor Who got a lot of fandom support from Tumblr (to the point where, iirc, the site was name dropped in an...
The idea of anonymity was there at the start with MySpace and even Facebook to an early degree. But when Facebook started requiring people to use their real names, and other social media sites followed suit because of course they did, it really started going away. LiveJournal died very painfully...
Depends if forums stick around. A lot of the forums of the early and mid 00s have disappeared or become exceptionally moribund. Not to say all have gone, there are still some going strong, but anonymity online has increasingly become a foreign concept.
Oh G-d, I have to out myself as a Tumblr user. Alright. Besides the lack of more prolific adult content online (seriously, the NSFW ban that Tumblr instituted back in December 2018 cost them something like a third of the entire user base and also plummeted the site's worth from 1.1 billion USD...
I was a teacher. Trust me, this is real. Kids can be cruel, and in fact, can be even crueler than adults (and as someone who was bullied mercilessly in middle school and high school, I am well-acquainted with this). Especially in the late 90s and early 00s, a lot of kids will go along with what...
I'm just waiting for when the religious conservatives and social conservatives start chanting to get rid of all the adult content on the Internet and sanitizing the hell out of the Internet. If they're all about "censorship" and "keeping their children from such things", then that would be the...
I... I played as Nixon in 1960. As a hardcore pro-civil rights and "heir to Eisenhower" candidate. 314 EVs and 49.8% of the popular vote. JFK won 209 EVs and 49.7% of the popular vote, while Byrd won 0.5% of the PV.
I won Texas (51.1 to 48.9), Florida (51 to 49), Virginia (51.2 to 48.8)...
Interesting... I'd imagine that Fallout: New Vegas is (roughly) the same as what we have in canon, even if it's about 80 years in-game earlier. Fallout: London and Fallout: Empire Wastes sound fascinating and I wish we had those. I'm guessing Fallout 3 is the cancelled Van Buren game, with OTL...
You could probably get away with including the Chouf.
I had intended for the Jabal Amil to be part of the Christian Lebanon, I should have made that clearer, but you do raise a good point that a Christian Lebanon would definitely have trouble without the Bekaa valley. I think it's like 40% of...
