If you like, you can send it to me. I'm not sure when I'll be able to review it and give feedback, but I will try to get it done if you're still interested

  4. WI: Internet Culture in a world without Tumblr?

In a sense? I would personally see the modern day internet as a more consumerist version especially if there’s no alternative to social media like Facebook or Twitter/“X” (it’s Twitter, Elon, get used to it). A lot more targeted ads, data mining a bit more widespread, and fandoms relegated to a...
  5. WI: Internet Culture in a world without Tumblr?

Exactly. And fora are sort of built for that sort of long-lasting development in a way that other media isn't. But getting us back on track. Without Tumblr, it's sort of a mixed bag. Doctor Who got a lot of fandom support from Tumblr (to the point where, iirc, the site was name dropped in an...
  6. WI: Internet Culture in a world without Tumblr?

The idea of anonymity was there at the start with MySpace and even Facebook to an early degree. But when Facebook started requiring people to use their real names, and other social media sites followed suit because of course they did, it really started going away. LiveJournal died very painfully...
  7. WI: Internet Culture in a world without Tumblr?

Depends if forums stick around. A lot of the forums of the early and mid 00s have disappeared or become exceptionally moribund. Not to say all have gone, there are still some going strong, but anonymity online has increasingly become a foreign concept.
  8. WI: Internet Culture in a world without Tumblr?

Oh G-d, I have to out myself as a Tumblr user. Alright. Besides the lack of more prolific adult content online (seriously, the NSFW ban that Tumblr instituted back in December 2018 cost them something like a third of the entire user base and also plummeted the site's worth from 1.1 billion USD...
  9. Terror in Littleton: How a tragedy shaped a nation

I was a teacher. Trust me, this is real. Kids can be cruel, and in fact, can be even crueler than adults (and as someone who was bullied mercilessly in middle school and high school, I am well-acquainted with this). Especially in the late 90s and early 00s, a lot of kids will go along with what...
  10. Terror in Littleton: How a tragedy shaped a nation

I'm just waiting for when the religious conservatives and social conservatives start chanting to get rid of all the adult content on the Internet and sanitizing the hell out of the Internet. If they're all about "censorship" and "keeping their children from such things", then that would be the...
  11. The Campaign Trail Game Has Returned.

I... I played as Nixon in 1960. As a hardcore pro-civil rights and "heir to Eisenhower" candidate. 314 EVs and 49.8% of the popular vote. JFK won 209 EVs and 49.7% of the popular vote, while Byrd won 0.5% of the PV. I won Texas (51.1 to 48.9), Florida (51 to 49), Virginia (51.2 to 48.8)...
  12. Alternate Wikipedia Infoboxes VII (Do Not Post Current Politics or Political Figures Here)

Interesting... I'd imagine that Fallout: New Vegas is (roughly) the same as what we have in canon, even if it's about 80 years in-game earlier. Fallout: London and Fallout: Empire Wastes sound fascinating and I wish we had those. I'm guessing Fallout 3 is the cancelled Van Buren game, with OTL...
  13. Terror in Littleton: How a tragedy shaped a nation

100% the same. The mid 2000s were not a fun time for me, so seeing this is like… well I very much despised high school.
  14. Terror in Littleton: How a tragedy shaped a nation

I both love and hate how utterly plausible this is.
  15. more solid Christian majority in Lebanon (and stronger sense of Lebanese nationality)

You could probably get away with including the Chouf. I had intended for the Jabal Amil to be part of the Christian Lebanon, I should have made that clearer, but you do raise a good point that a Christian Lebanon would definitely have trouble without the Bekaa valley. I think it's like 40% of...
  16. more solid Christian majority in Lebanon (and stronger sense of Lebanese nationality)

Pretty much. If you keep the French from expanding the Mutasarrifate too much, that might work. Tack on southern Lebanon (including the cities of Tyre, Sidon, and Nabatieh), ensure both Beirut and Tripoli are retained by this new Christian Lebanon, and you have a pretty solid Christian majority...
  17. Potential female candidates for US President in the 1980s

Maybe Millicent Fenwick? She lost the 1982 Senate election in New Jersey by less than 70,000 votes. Swing that her way and she'd be prime for a 1988 presidency. Or even get her involved in electoral politics earlier, positioning her in a prime spot for 1980.
  18. Name for an Alternate Postwar Japanese Military

That's actually a very good question. I've seen some proposals where Japan was partitioned and "North Japan" included Hokkaido and Tohoku, with both Tokyo and Osaka partitioned into a Western zone (US, Britain, ROC) and Soviet Zone.
  19. Name for an Alternate Postwar Japanese Military

Like others have said, Japan Defense Forces is a perfectly viable name.
  20. WI: Tunisia recognized Israel in 1965?

Which is why I said that at best you'd see Tunisia and Morocco, with maybe disinterest from Arab states which aren't members of the League (or which haven't joined yet). However, considering the current accords of the past few years, there has been a somewhat domino effect in terms of...
