I think we kind of got off on the wrong end in the beginning. However you are very smart, and Kenneth Stamp I don’t disregard his intelligence. After finishing how the war came I have viewed the book as biased and Completely narrow, but not incorrect. Other historians had different things to say about the secession movement. Merry Christmas! Totally sympathize with your feelings, After 1900 seems to be getting overrun with threads where the OP wants to just assume that some bit of history is radically different but that the bit they are interested in still happens.
