The People's Republic of Patagonia has surrendered, and the Socialist People's Republic of Grand Colombia is on its last breath. Soviet forces are making their last stang on the island of Grenada. Rebellions of brewing in Southern Africa. Where will NATO strike back next? Africa? Australia? More to come later.

My friend, I can't stand that projection.

I made my own Sovietwank-esque map a long while ago using the Robinson projection (Basically a sepia wiki basemap). It has quite a lot of similarities to yours, and the "World War 3" is only 20% on it's completion:

I was poking fun at Bernooch for bringing in the Caped Crusader.


Though I can't imagine Nolanverse-Batman versus Lovecraft. Now the DC Universe versus the Old Ones... Aquaman will have a lot to answer for.

I think that's the AH.com "Diamond" Basemap, not the Wikipedia one, old boy.

Dymax map of a world where Antarctica never fully separates from Australia (based of SRegan's Dymax maps).

Anyone know how such a world would be affected climate-wise and if humans would even still arise?

The base map looks like the usual of that type but looking at it, it seems as if some of the details of the coasts do not match the other format layout coasts.

Yeah, the map I use sucks, but it is far easier to work with than the really detailed ones in this case. The super-russia series I made was just for fun, and not a serious AH.

And with that note, here is the world in 1986. American and New Zealanders land in Australia. The Reds have been expelled from the New World. NATO has landed in Morocco and Americans have reinforced the Iberian Front. Uprising in South Africa are starting to eat away at the South African puppet state. Brazillian and Chilean forces have landed in South Africa, and the Red are weakening in West Africa.

I have noticed Arkham on the map, just about right away when I first set eyes on the map. I agree w/ you that the map is crappy, or as I like to call it, a cartographic abortion. At least the map shows Canaan, NH, where I am currently at right now staying at my bro's house while visiting w/ family in this part of the world. I am originally from Lebanon, NH, which unfortunately is not plotted on that pitiful excuse of a map. I was born in Nashua, NH, which is on the map, back in '62.
