It could be a good "Republic of Southern England and Normandy", I guess. Maybe William doesn't succeed in conquering all England, and the resulting Kingdom of Encleterre has a revolution.

The POD is in the 15th century... I think I can make up my own English republican tradition (and determine its favoured colours) in this case. :)

A small canton seems to be the format for earlier English colonial flags, such as this one for the East India Co. in 1700.

This is true, also seen in 19th century French colonial flags. It's because they're derived from early regimental colours which typically only had a small canton.

Can I make a request?

Australia-New Zealand union.

Am I allowed to clarify my request to fit the TL?

The union was formed in the 1990s. Originally it consisted of just Aussie and NZ, but Samoa, the Marshall Islands, and Micronesia joined later. Maybe their membership is reflected in the flag, maybe not. I would prefer no British flag in the canton, but the British colors are certainly possible.

Any ideas? My mind is dry as the Outback.

Here's another "what if" from Brdman

This is regarding my Slovak-Ukraine Flags. What happens when we try a little different? If we take away the Slovak Cross and combine it with the Ukrainian Tryzub Emblem, we end up with a Flag that looks like this:

BUT if we take that weird colored cross of Blue, Yellow and Green and apply it to the Slovak Flag, we end up with a funky Yellow-Green-Blue Tricolor like this:

(The Second one, as you can guess, is a Czech-Austrian Flag)

Weird colors for weird times......:D

I was wondering if anyone has done or would like to do a flag of what an America that has annexed Mexico would look like?

If you want realism it would be the stars & stripes with more stars.
