Hungary takes the lead from Austria

If there's no Great War or any other significant disrupting factor, then what do you think, when could Hungary raise to become both economically and politically more powerful, than the Austrian side of the Austro-Hungarian Empire? Any sceniario ideas about how would the shift in power play out?

To give you a proper POD: FF is still assassinated in Sarajevo in 1914, but the July Crisis is solved diplomatically.

I don't want to sound rude, but did you even read the OP?

Interesting premise, although I have no idea how it might happen. Perhaps ethnic tensions in Bohemia severely cripple Austrian economy, while Hungary manages to keep thing calmer by either better policies or more severe crackdowns. My understanding is that should Magyarization policies continue undisturbed, Hungary might actually become a solid Magyar-majority by the middle of the 20th century. Industrialization and subsequent urbanization help a great deal.

Then we don't speak of "Austia" or "Hungary" but of Cisleithania and Transleithania with Cisleithania incorporating territories like ... highly industrialized Bohemia or Czechia, as its called today.

Your question is quite suggestive with assuming, that hungary WILL surpass Austria (whatever you mean with it).
The option of this not to happen seems more like an afterthought.
Maybe the proper quastion would begin with :

Might Hungary (Transleithania) be able to surpass Cisleithania economically and politically and if so when ?​

iIRC the Hungarian half of A-H was 1/3 of the GDP so economic supremacy is unlikely. They were already getting away with too much politically and I can’t see that lasting.

In theory as the less industrial portion the Hungarian industrialization would give them quite a growth spurt, but will we see that or perhaps more interestingly a leap to the post-industrial economy? Might lighter industries like aerospace, electronics, etc., seeking greenfield sites and less costly labor proliferate in Hungary rather than industrialized Austria? That might be a more novel path to pave so the disparity shrinks and longer term Hungary is the "new" economy in the Empire. So post 1950s at least?
