Created in 1867, that nation struggled to keep it's national unity when its neighbor, the United States, crumbled into anarchy. It was originally successful but the time of the North American War it had to face a war with the French speaking province of Quebec.

Quebec'c government eventually failed and a communist government was sent up creating the People's Republic of Quebec. With growing tension against the now communist Quebec, the provinces of Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Manitoba declare independence from Canada and form The United Provinces of Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Manitoba. Canada size is cut in half and now consists of the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, Nunavut, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, and the Northwest Territories.
