Hails from the north-east of Scotland, five miles from HRH Alex Salmond's humble abode. His username was formally The British Scotsman due to the fact that one, he was a Scotsman who thinks of himself as British as well, and second, he lacked any imagination regarding usernames.

He was (and possibly still is) editor of the AH.com Newspaper.
