George Washington was born on February 22, 1732. He was the son of Augustine and Mary Ball Washington in a wealthy Virginia family. He grew up along the Potomac, and served in the first battle of the Seven-years war. He married Martha Dandridge Custis in 1759, when he was 26.
He served in the American Revolution and was critical in establishing the Consitution. He served as Executive Chair from 1785-1797. He retired from politics in 1797, and died in a carriage crash in 1810.
