An AH cliche pertaining to Germany that, naturally, mainly annoys our German members, especially Susano. The cliché is that, because Brandenburg eventually became powerful as the Kingdom of Prussia in OTL, it must have always been powerful, and so maps of the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation in 1500 or 1600 feature an overpowered Brandenburg, or Brandenburg is treated as a great military power in the Thirty Years' War. Perhaps people also come to the assumption of an early powerful Brandenburg from thinking that the gameplay of Europa Universalis II (or III) is always entirely historically accurate and plausible.
