WI: Successful Celtic conquest of the Balkans

The fourth and third centuries BCE was a time of great migration and movement of Celtic peoples, especially towards the east in the Balkans. The political situation was ideal for Celtic invasion with Alexander's empire being torn into pieces by his officers and the Macedonian core left weak and depopulated. It was very well possible for the Gauls to conquer the Balkans: a small number of them did end up being transported across the Hellespont and founded a new homeland in Asia Minor.
