WI: KKK of the 1920's with a Hitler-esque figure to lead it?

Deleted member 96212

So the KKK was at its height in the 1920's with millions of followers nationwide, but was beset by incompetent and corrupt leaders. What would happen if the Klan of this time period had a charismatic Hitler-like figure to lead it? Would it become a much more powerful force in American politics, or would it still fizzle out as it did IOTL?

I could see it being even worse than it was
IOTL- which was bad enough- but the depre-
ssion would have strangled it in this ATL too
(the KKK fed on cultural issues, which were
the pre-dominant ones during the 20's, but
the economy going South meant people
became worried, not about, say, illegal imm-
igration, but about just survival)
