WI: American Boris Johnson

We likely don't get the 'bent bannanas' type stories ridiculing Brussels bureaucracy that contributed toward building euroscepticism in the UK. We also don't have a charismatic figurehead for the leave campaign. So no Brexit, quite probably. Also, London continues to be run by Ken Livingstone for four, possible eight years more, which in and of itself would have some very interesting implications for Labour and the wider left in the UK.

As for stateside, not necessarily anything. Just because he was successful in the UK, doesn't mean Boris would pursue a political career in the US. If he did though, and had similar views to what he has as PM, he would probably be more of a moderate Democrat than a Republican-given that he is relatively socially liberal when compared to much of the American right-certainly in his own personal views, rather than the policies of his government.
