What If

What if Stalin decided to go for broke and ordered the Red Army to steam roll over the Alies lines and head for the Chanel ports.

Yes his army was worn out both in man power ant equipment, but they were at the top of their game both in attack and defence and were not as concerned about casualties like the alies were.

The alies were starting to run out of man power which the British taking a chain saw to divisions just to keep the front fed. The only country that did not really have a troop shortage was the US.

What would make Starlin do this simple the big fat atom bomb and possibly the fear hat Churchill’s unthinkable plan was going to be put in to effect.

The real problem and deal breaker with this is war weariness, as well as manpower and the US supplying the Soviet war effort. All sides but the US were nearing their limit of manpower. The Soviets relied on US support a great deal to survive WW2. Remove that and factor in the war stretching on farther? The Soviets are in a terrible position. They'll make some serious gains no doubt, possibly well into France, but ultimately these realities catch up to them. The USSR is tired, expended and wounded. Unless the Allies throw in the towel, this doesn't end well for Stalin at all. He may win in the short term, but he's not in a position to make it last.
