What if Pepsi kept the navy?

Pepsi was given 17 submarines, a cruiser, a frigate, and a destroyer by the Russians in exchange for three billion dollars worth of Pepsi. So what could/would happen with Pepsi if they kept that navy instead of selling it for scrap recycling? Could they even?

They were fit only for scrap. That's why they were given them.

Could they have at least been used to open some sort of theme park? Paint them all the pepsi colours, and throw in a mock-military motif. Maybe the destroyer is the main venue, with a hotel and a bunch of fun houses on board, and you can take a ride in the submarines etc.

Did it actually happen , I had a quick google and there is no list of the ships involved which you'd have thought would be out there somewhere . There is speculation about Alexandr Nevsky being the cruiser but no comprehensive listing

It wasn't really a navy, more a load of scrap metal, as there were no crews or weapons included.

Exchanging goods instead of paying cash isn't unique to the Pepsi ships deal as the BBC report: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48343589

The middle photo here shows the condition of the submarines mentioned. Scrap value, nothing else.

Love it!

And it just needs to be able to stay afloat dockside.
