If Ted Turner was so nice to HB Home video it would be rebranded as HB Home Entertainment instead of killing it and the studio. Cartoon Network Studios has their originals like PPG and HB originals like Scooby Doo it'd still be separated but HB would be kept. POD- Time Warner keeps it after Bill Hanna's death produce HB Movies and etc

They do exist, just renamed. Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo are alive and well. Cartoon Network was the same studio with the same animators. The animation in the 90s has lots of similarities with old cartoons and we've had plenty of cameos.

Frederator, a company founded by the last president of Hanna-Barbera, (might have been Hanna-Barbera itself at the time) took part in creating What a Cartoon! which led to Cartoon Cartoons, as well as Oh Yeah! Cartoons leading to Nicktoons. It is basically like how marriages work. It doesn't matter if a daughter takes the name of another family. You are still kin and share a bit of that soul together. Hanna-Barbera is still scene as being up there with Disney and Looney Tunes for creating a genre, and I doubt they employees of it would have wanted to be limited to one small company. Besides, by the time Ted Turner got to it, I think it was mostly dealing with video rights. The animators had moved on or been spun off.
...Yeha? I'm not entirely sure what you're asking for. Hanna-Barbera IS, for all intents and purposes, still around. They've just changed names to Cartoon Network Studios. Do you just want them to keep the name?

Well, if it survived even a bit longer, Pirates of Dark Water would have been finished, rather than ending on a cliffhanger. Which would be a great, if inconsequential improvement.
