What Georgia had signed a defence-pact with Turkey in 2005

Lets imagine that for what ever reason Saakashvili signed a defence-pact with Turkey in 2005. Allowing Turkish troops to help train the Georgian Army. Come the 2007-2008 crisis with Russia what happens then?

Turkey sits back & watches Saakashvili start a stupid war then lose it the same as it did OTL?

A Defence pact is just that, for Defence. It doesn't imply that if party A *starts* a war with a third party that party B is obliged to join.

And Turkey, a NATO member, has the right to enter into separate contracts?

Yes. But that doesn't necessarily mean that if they honoured Defence alliance A with Party B because Party B was attacked by Party C that they can claim for aid for Defence against Party C from the members they'd signed Defence alliance B with.
