What alternate history ideas you wish they were used more often?

Okay, I need a "Latin American Romania" wank now

Smaller wank I propose for it

Nah screw North America, I want Latin America damn it!

Now I wonder if having the wallachians migrate to Hispania like the slavs did in Coronation of the Hun would be possible so that they could pull a Iberia...
I kinda like the idea.
Both Iberia and Romania could be understood as principalties-kingdoms that eventually joined into a single state (OTL Iberia in the middle ages to the modern age, and Romania a lot later with Wallachia and Moldavia)

+ It would be fun in such scenario if like OTL "Romanian" still kind of an 'odd' branch of Romance (like say, it isn't connected with others because French & maybe Italian doesn't exist lol, but maybe there are more Romance in the Eastern Mediterranean/Africa, who knows), influenced by Vasque, maybe Celtic or Gothic.

All about culture, but not pop culture

1. American culture ( Music or literature ) in the world where American Civil War never happened, pod 1840
2. What would American culture be like, if 1800 territory never expand and America still has East Coast only?

If we're talking pop culture AH, I want to see Chinese animation (donghua) and anime to switch places in terms of popularity and reputation, especially in timelines where the Republic of China controls the mainland. Although it's only a small part, one of the TLs I'm musing about (where Song Jiaoren survives and helms a more liberal ROC while no World Wars happen and Japan continues to be militaristic until the end of the 20th century) does have this happen.

Pre-Cultural Revolution Chinese animation (Princess Iron Fan, Havoc in Heaven) easily holds its own with their contemporaries in the US and Europe, and I would love to see it be recognized more in alternate history.

Wouldn't that lead to Westerners considering the Chinese donghua to be part of a propaganda operation by the Chinese nationalist far right to clean up China's image? That while assuming that the content lacks quality and is limited to porn and cat girls even if this is a false assumption

Uh, what?

Nobody thinks anime/manga is an attempt to rehabilitate Japan, and that gained international popularity while Americans were smashing Japanese products in front of the Capitol.

Not sure how porn entered this discussion.

It's a very common assumption made by people who don't like anime. The American equivalent is the belief that comics are limited to superheroes.

Cleopatra and Mark Antony manging to win against Octavian/Augustus and Emperor Julian living and successfully keeping Roman Hellenism alive are interesting What Ifs I feel don’t get explored enough.

New religious movements and ethnic migrations, as well as institutional adaptations to changing political and biologIcal environments

Augustus dies a few years after becoming Princeps, and appoints Agrippa as his successor. Agrippa was much more humble than OTL's early Emperors, so this may result in a gradual return to the Republic.
